The journey to launch
As I approached the 5th anniversary of my time as a full-time freelancer, I was thinking about building my network of freelancers for a while now and originally toyed with the idea of creating a Google Doc listing other self-employed people in the region for my use.
But then I got carried away, bought a domain, some hosting and put a website together.
I see the North East Freelance Network as a resource for independent professionals in the North East who often receive requests for referrals from their clients. The platform provides easy access for clients seeking talented freelancers in the region too, so win-win.
