My 7 step paid social process

While setting up and managing paid social campaigns can be layered and complex, my 7 step process is simple. I’ve shared the steps below that I’ll do if we worked together on social media ads from strategy to execution and reporting.

Step 1: Establish your objectives

 

First things first – what are your end goals? What are your objectives with the campaigns and who is your target audience?

Understanding your objectives is key to creating a social advertising campaign that aligns with your strategy.

Step 2: Set a budget

 

Sometimes it’s best to talk about money straight away. It needn’t be an awkward conversation.

If you share an ad spend budget with me I’ll devise a strategy to make sure that your marketing budget is invested in the right places. However, I know that some people are looking for a bit more direction. In that case, I can give you a recommendation based on your objectives.

Step 3: Produce your strategy

 

Once we’ve established your objectives and budget, I’ll create a paid media strategy – taking your brand guidelines into account – that will get your message across to your target audience in a smart and targeted way.

Step 4: Get creative with visuals

 

If your paid social strategy needs visual assets, I can either use your existing assets, work with your internal design team, or create some new imagery to suit.

Step 5: Time to execute

 

This is the action stage. I’ll get the ads up and running on all agreed social platforms.

Step 6: Optimise your campaigns

 

Social ads are not a set and forget it process. They need to be continuously monitored and optimised. This means that your campaigns will be tweaked to ensure they’re working at optimal performance.

Step 7: Review & assess results

 

I’ll keep you up-to-date on campaign results with regular reporting. I’ll also share insights and recommendations that can inform future ad campaigns or your wider marketing strategy.
