[Case Study] B2C Home Improvement PPC

I thought the time has come to share another Google Ads case study so here it is…

At the time of writing this I’ve been working with this client for over 4 months and in that time I’ve increased the number of conversions happening each month by 148% – with a conversion being a phone call, a contact form submission, or a click-to-email.

The client

 

This client works in the home improvement industry and is based in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. 

The starting point

 

This company had worked with a few agencies over the last couple of years but weren’t very happy with their campaign performance and found that they weren’t getting the attention and one-to-one support that they were after.

So we started working together in June 2020 and I took over the management of their Google Ads account.

The changes made

 

There are now four separate campaigns in the account with three of the text campaigns promoting three of their key services across the North East and a display campaign working to increase brand awareness and remarket to website visitors.

I’ve worked on every aspect of the campaign from targeting, keywords, budgets and bidding to ad copy and ad extensions.

You can see an example of one of the text ads below:

The results

  • Conversion rate increased by 121% (1.4% vs. 3.1%)
  • The number of conversions each month increased by 148% (25 vs. 62)
